What are the causes of Psoriasis?

The psoriasis is a multi factorial disease, that is caused by many events, which can be both hereditary and environmental nature. There is therefore a very specific case, which removed if it can guarantee the resolution of the disease, but control more aspects. Although there are some agents or environmental conditions that can act as "key triggers", we can say that psoriasis is fundamentally driven by an immune-based inflammation.
For a long time because of this condition remained unknown, but research has recently shown as a mechanism responsible for faulty regulation of T-lymphocytes. Following the effectiveness of T lymphocytes the cycle of cell replication of the superficial layer of skin, the epidermis, is greatly accelerated by the release of cytokines, while the normal process of apoptosis (ie programmed cell death) has slowed. The simultaneous action of these two factors determines the formation of spotting psoriasis.
The latter may have an extension that would undermine seriously the well-being, self-perception and the life of the patient’s report, especially if adjacent areas "sensitive" of the body such as face, hands and genitals.
The impact of psoriasis is commonly underestimated, but in reality as moderate / severe it seriously the quality of life of people in particular leading the development of depressive syndromes, which have a high social cost.
